Privacy Policy

Faerie Paint is built around one simple idea: your creativity is yours. This policy explains how the Faerie Paint mobile app handles your data.

What we collect

No account is required. There is no login or personal profile. Your artwork and colour palettes are stored on your device. Our purchase service, RevenueCat, processes purchase and technical information as described below.

Your paintings

Paintings, work in progress and custom colour palettes are stored locally on your device. The app does not upload your artwork to us or RevenueCat. You can export paintings using your device's share sheet or save them to your photo library. Device backups, photo syncing and any service you choose to share with are governed by your settings and those services' privacy policies.

In-app purchases

Paid colouring packs are purchased through Apple's App Store or Google Play. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple or Google — we never see or handle your payment card details. We use RevenueCat to check purchases, unlock paid packs and restore purchases.

RevenueCat generates a random app user identifier and stores it on your device. This is not your Apple or Google account ID. The app does not supply RevenueCat with your name, email address or billing address.

RevenueCat processes this identifier, purchase history and store transaction information, such as Apple receipts or Google purchase tokens. It also processes technical information such as device type and operating system, and when the app was last used. The purchase service connects when the app starts and checks pack availability and purchase status, not only when you buy something.

This information supports purchase verification, restoration, fraud prevention and RevenueCat's purchase reporting and analytics. It does not include your paintings or painting activity.

Advertising

There are no ads in Faerie Paint.

Third-party services

Faerie Paint uses third-party software, including Expo, React Native and RevenueCat. Apart from RevenueCat's purchase reporting described above, the app has no separate usage analytics or crash-reporting service configured, and no advertising or social tracking SDK. Painting does not require an internet connection; purchasing and restoring packs do.

Device permissions

The app uses device motion, with permission where required, to make glitter respond as you tilt your device. Motion readings are used locally for this effect and are not sent to us or RevenueCat. Saving a painting to your photo library may ask for photo-library permission. Sharing uses your device's share sheet.

Children

Faerie Paint is designed for adults. The purchase-service data handling described above applies whenever the app is used. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us using the email below.

Changes to this policy

If we ever update this policy, the new version will appear at this page with an updated date.
